Open When You’re Angry

Someone’s in a fucking mood. Before you start drafting a resignation letter, cursing someone’s entire bloodline, or composing a paragraph so vicious it needs to be reviewed by legal, take a second. No, I’m not telling you to calm down. Hell, I’m not your yoga instructor. I just want you to make sure whatever you’re about to do is actually worth the paperwork that’ll follow. ’Cause let’s be honest, baby. Some people are genuinely asking to be a problem. They wake up, put on their shoes, and make it everybody else’s issue. A fascinating species. Should be kept behind glass. Preferably in some ultra-high-radiation facility, or locked in a cage at Area 51 with whatever the fuck they’ve got hiding in there.

Sometimes the worst part isn’t even what happened. It’s having to deal with the aftermath, explain yourself to people who weren’t there, or pretend you’re being perfectly reasonable when your last functioning brain cell is busy writing a strongly worded obituary for someone’s reputation. So, if you’re angry, be angry. I’m not going to sit here and tell you to look at things from their perspective. Maybe their perspective is fucking stupid. Maybe they owe you an apology. Maybe the entire situation deserves to be thrown into the nearest dumpster.

Just don’t let some idiot turn one bad interaction into your full-time occupation. They haven’t earned that kind of commitment. At least make them pay for your dinner first. If you need to rant, go ahead. Give me the unedited version. Names included, if necessary. I can keep up. I’ll even pretend to be impartial for approximately three minutes before asking why everyone involved seems to have misplaced their common sense. If you want my opinion, I’ll give it to you. If you just want to complain, I’ll provide the occasional highly professional commentary. Something along the lines of what the actual fuck or I hope their next meal tastes like absolute shit.

I hope whoever caused this has the kind of evening where their charger only works at a very specific angle. And you, Kittish, try not to catch a case over someone who probably isn’t worth the inconvenience. I’ve got enough shit to deal with already. I’d rather not add bail money to the budget.
